Hi everyone,
Back with some news and opps. It’s been a while so let’s get down to things.
PITCH ME
I’m always looking for parenting, health and wellness, and pet topics. Also interested in getting pitches for really interesting stories that I can pitch for as-told-to essays. Think: someone who overcame something huge and things like that. Stories you don’t hear every day.
Don’t pitch me products. I focus on expert-sourced stories and don’t really do product reviews. Unless you want me to post them on my Instagram, blog or this newsletter. In that case, I love books (esp. romance novels) and tote bags and I post about them a lot on my IG.
Pitch me at joelle@joellesperanza.com and put SUBSTACK/ TOPIC in the subject line. Now seeking stories for July!

MY NEW BOOK
I wrote a new children’s book! It’s actually a Father’s Day gift for my husband, and I haven’t even told him yet. But since I highly doubt he even reads or subscribes to my newsletters, I’ll share here!
THE BRIGHT SIDE OF DADDY’S BUSINESS TRIPS
In this book, children will learn that there are many families with parents who travel for work. The bright side of business trips is discovering ways to make the most of the time you do have when you’re together.
Author Joelle Speranza wrote this book as a Father’s Day gift for her husband. She doesn’t mind holding down the fort while he travels, as long as she doesn’t have to shovel snow.
Bonus feature: Get a list of ideas for your family to make the most of business trips.
I made this on Blurb with licensed art from CreativeMarket and just thought I’d make it available for sale for others in case you are in family where one parent travels A LOT!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME
It’s also the two-year anniversary since I published Princess Genevieve: The Hero with Girl Power! I wrote this for my daughter.
Princess Genevieve: The Hero with Girl Power shows young girls that you don’t have to be royal in order to have girl power. Every girl can channel the brave, smart, kind, mindful, and confident princess within herself to be the hero of her own fairytale. Readers will learn that with imagination and determination, anything is possible. Read along and then enjoy the bonus activities: Sing “The Girl Power Anthem,” Find Sight Words, Learn Ways to Be Your Own Hero, Recognize Rhyming Words, Turn to Discussion Topics, Color a Bonus Page, and View art by Genevieve Speranza.
Princess Genevieve is by a mother, for her daughter. The characters in this book are based on the Speranzas: a New Jersey family that loves dogs, pizza, and dance parties. Joelle Speranza wrote this book to capture her daughter Genevieve’s passions and dreams at five years old.
Always grateful,
Joelle
